when we were children we could see all the magic in the world. we saw wonder and beauty blooming around every corner—our imaginations were limitless, and every thing had hidden meaning and potential. through ‘flower fairies’, I attempted to recapture this childlike wonder, using flowers and leaves I found outside to create floating fairy figures in a floor-level Biola woodshop cubby. Like children, we must humble ourselves and take the time to truly pay attention to experience the delights of wondering at all the hidden magic the world has to offer.

materials: various flowers, rosebuds, fairy lights, chicken wire, quilting thread
